This is a BSP style CTF level made in Unreal 4. I wanted to focus more on layout and game play, rather than style and detail. To move away from the 90° angled corridors and junctions, I built the main rooms diagonally so I could build stairs along the grid and then it was easy to design 45° junctions.
I also wanted to stay away from making long corridors that felt unnecessary so each junction is kept as short as possible.
This is a good block out for a more detailed level that I may revisit in the future.
Below is the top view of the level layout. It is symmetrical and consists of three levels – basement, main and upper which has a hidden access.
I look forward to making the map available for download.
